Well I jumped the gun and went ahead and got a SIM Card for the phone from Cellular Abroad. They pre-registered it so it will be ready to use as soon as I reach Germany.
I've also bought a spare battery for the VIRB and some Five Ten Freerider shoes. The shoes are comfortable enough to walk with that they'll serve as walking and bicycling shoes saving me some packing space.
The weather has still been pretty marginal here but I've managed to get in four straight days of training in spite of it. The last being a 51k ride with no rest stops. These rides also served as a shakedown of the Garmin VIRB and the Garmin Edge Touring.
The result of the shakedown being that I turned off the auto-start when moving on the VIRB and turned off the auto-recalculate on the Touring.
Next entry should be from Germany.
